We all know how adorable and cute small dog breeds are. Also, you may know that these very cute little creatures are very stubborn. If you have one of those cute little stubborn Yorkies that ignores you and your commands, here are some ways to deal with them.
Start from the moment you first bring your little Yorkie home by being very strict with them. The tone of your voice should be firm, but not too high. When giving commands, don’t back down when he just looks at you and doesn’t do what you say. Alternatively, when he obeys your commands and behaves, use a quieter tone of voice to immediately praise him.
The most powerful reward you can give your Yorkie is a small treat when training him. Give your dog a treat only when he follows the command you give him. Never give your Yorkie treats unless it is for good behavior because you want your Yorkie to associate the treat with following your commands and good behavior. Otherwise, you will have to start all over with your studies.
It’s important to train your Yorkie alone because he can get distracted and confused by too many people giving instructions at the same time.
