Project Tiger National Park, Periyar National Park is a famous tiger reserve in Kerala. Not only the majestic tiger, but you can also spot leopards, barking deer, wild boar, sloth bear, Nilgiri Tahr and mosue deer to name a few. The national park boasts 260 species of birds such as ibises, flycatchers, sparrowhawks, thrushes, blue-winged parrots and cormorants; part of the list.
