Incredible video shows meteor flare in Pennsylvania sky
New video shows the moment of a bright object blazed through the skies of Pittsburgh on Thursday evening.
In a clip from his doorbell camera, Phil Haddad captured the bright light as he drove through the Pennsylvania town.
“I don’t tweet often, but when I do it’s because I caught a meteor on my doorbell camera,” he tweeted.
The local National Weather Service office also shared video of what it called a “meteor/fireball.”

“While we don’t specialize in meteors (well, hydrometeors, but that’s different), many reported see a meteor/fireball cross the sky at 7:33 tonight,” he noted.

The American Meteor Society said it had received 830 reports of a fireball witnessed in several states Friday.
