Electronic world – how we use electronics in everyday life
The use of electronics is such a big part of our daily lives today that we can hardly imagine what the world would be like without electronics. Everything from cooking to music uses electronics or electronic components in some way. Our family car has many electronic components, as does our cooker, laptop and mobile phone. Children and teenagers carry mobile phones with them everywhere and use them to take and send pictures, videos and play music. They send text messages from the cell phone to other phones and to their home computers.
Wireless internet is becoming more common all the time, with laptops set up in cybercafés where people can drink coffee and check their email at the same time. The computer user can do all web searching in relative privacy thanks to the electronic accessories that can be added to the computer. Conversely, more and more transactions are being sent electronically over the air, so security is becoming a bigger issue than ever. Merchants selling products online must be able to guarantee their customers that information provided on a website is not accessible by unauthorized personnel.
Music is the primary consumer of electronics, both in recording and playback modes. Stereo systems, record players, tape decks, tape decks, CD drives, and DVD players are the result of advances in electronic technology over the past few decades. Today, people can easily carry around a playlist of hundreds of songs in a very small device – easily portable. When you add Bluetooth or headphones, the music can be heard by the user but not disturb those nearby.
The electronic technology in cameras has increased dramatically. A digital camera is available to most Americans at a price they can afford, and cell phones often include a fairly sophisticated digital camera that can capture still photos or even video images and store or transfer them to a computer where they can be saved, shared digitally with family or friends, or printed in hard form with a photo printer device. Photos obtained through a camera or using a scanner can easily be edited, cropped, enhanced or enlarged through the wonder of electronics.
Literally thousands of everyday devices that we use all the time use electronic technology to work. These are products ranging from automotive engines to automated equipment in manufacturing settings. Even artistic endeavors benefit from computer modeling before engaging valuable artistic media to create the final product.
Electronic devices are used in the healthcare field not only to help diagnose and determine medical problems, but also to aid in research that provides treatments and cures for diseases and even genetic abnormalities. Equipment such as MRI, CAT and older X-rays, diabetes tests, cholesterol and other blood component tests all rely on electronics to do their jobs quickly and accurately. Pacemakers and similar equipment implanted in the body are now almost routine.
