2-Minute Stress Relief Exercise

What’s needed is a quick and easy exercise to use whenever it seems too much or before an upcoming stressful situation to keep calm and in control. Here’s a quick and easy stress reduction exercise that makes it easy to de-stress and re-focus – no matter how busy you are. This can be done in less than 2 minutes. Who doesn’t have that little time? Used daily, it becomes even more effective. And the kids love it.


Know that counting to 3 will relax you and release your stress…Now…

  1. Take a deep breath through your nose
  2. As you slowly release it from your mouth,
  3. Close your eyes
  4. Press thumb and index finger together to form a circle (OK sign)
  5. And count slowly 1……..2……..3……..
  6. Feel your whole body RELAAAX On 3
  7. In a state of deep relaxation – release your stress, relax your muscles, let yourself relax like a rag doll
  8. Now give yourself positive suggestions – or just relax
  9. When you want to go back –
  10. Relax your fingers and just open your eyes

What we focus on becomes stronger, so it’s a good idea to watch your thoughts and redirect them to what you want to bring into your life. De-stressing every day is a small change that will add up to big results. Be sure to use this exercise often. The more you use it, the more effective it becomes.
